SALT LAKE CITY, UT — The Utah Republican Party will hold elections for Vice-Chair and National Committeeman at the upcoming State General Committee meeting on February 29, 2020 at 9AM.

The meeting will be held at the Utah Realtors Association Building located at 230 W. Towne Ridge Parkway, Sandy, UT 84070
Registered Republicans interested in running for either office must submit a letter of intent that includes the office for which they intend to run. The deadline for submission of the letter is February 27th at 9 AM. The letter must be emailed to [email protected]
The role of the Vice-Chair is to assist the Chair in his duties and perform the Chair’s duties in his absence. The Vice-Chair shall also serve on the SCC and Executive Committee. The newly elected Vice-Chair will serve the remainder of the two-year term which will end in 2021.
The role of the National Committeeman is to represent the state party on the Republican National Committee. The National Committeeman is also responsible for helping the Chair raise funds for the party and report quarterly to the State Central Committee. The person elected will serve the remainder of the term, which will end after the completion of the National Convention in August 2020. A new election for National Committeeman will be held at the Utah State Party Convention on April 25, 2020.
