New to Utah or Changed Counties?
If you’ve moved to Utah—or moved within Utah—you’ll need to update your voter registration to reflect your current address. This ensures you’re assigned to the correct voting precinct and can fully participate in local caucus meetings and elections.
Utah’s Caucus & Convention System
Utah is a caucus/convention state, meaning political parties use neighborhood caucus meetings to elect delegates who represent their communities at county and state conventions. Delegates play a key role in selecting candidates who will appear on the primary ballot.
What to Know:
-
Caucus meetings happen in even-numbered years.
-
Delegates are selected by their neighbors during these meetings.
