Statement on Amendment B Polling
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- The Utah Republican Party supports Amendment B on the November 3, 2026 ballot. Today, Utah Republican Party Chair Robert Axson issued the following statement:
Utah public opinion has consistently shown that Utahns oppose higher taxes. A survey implying otherwise comes after efforts by special interests with hidden liberal agendas to confuse and complicate the discussion regarding Amendment B.
There’s a reason national liberal activists and organizations are willing to spend millions to defeat Amendment B, and it’s the very reason Utah voters should support it.
These groups have a vested interest in making it easier to raise taxes through ballot initiatives. Amendment B puts Utah families first by requiring broad public support before new taxes can be imposed. Utah’s future should be decided by Utah voters, not deep-pocketed national interest groups.
Vote FOR Amendment B to defend Utahns and protect your wallet.
